Data sources and comparison methodology
By Delek King editorial team · Policy updated on
Who are we?
Delek King is an independent tool for comparing fuel data and station information in Israel. We are not the Ministry of Energy, a station operator or a fuel supplier, and do not verify prices on a station’s behalf.
95 petrol: official ceiling versus pump price
Ministry of Energy data describes maximum prices by service type and location. Synchronized station values may be that ceiling rather than an observed pump price. Stations may offer a lower price.
Diesel: observation dates and payment terms
Old values or values without a diesel-specific date are not verified as today’s prices. The diesel page includes only observations dated within the last 30 days. Even those are not guaranteed to remain valid. Cash, membership and fuel-card terms are not automatically verified.
What does “updated” mean?
An effective date concerns the official ceiling. A diesel report date concerns a diesel observation. A sync or record-modification date concerns database maintenance only; it does not mean every station price was checked that day.
How should comparisons and ratings be interpreted?
Compare available data on equivalent terms. Missing prices are not zero. A report list is not proof of the cheapest station nationwide. A rating without reviews is not shown as a user recommendation; map distance is an estimate, not a travel cost.
Limitations and corrections
Coverage is incomplete: an official station directory does not imply full price coverage, and recorded history may omit updates within a month. Confirm prices, service type and hours directly before filling up. Submit reports and corrections on the station page.
